Description

Spicy is an exciting, engaging card game with beautiful artwork and excellent production quality. The cards are illustrated with forty different works of art. Moreover, not only does the music box shine in chic metallic gold, but the card backs are also decorated with a gold-colored finish.

During your turn you can play a card or draw a card. To play a card, you must either start a pile or play a higher card of the same suit. Stacks can only be started with cards numbered 1 to 3. Once a stack reaches 10, a 1 to 3 of the same suit must be played on it. When playing a card, players announce the card they are supposedly playing.

Players can bluff and essentially play any card they want because all cards are played face down. And after each card is played, players can challenge it by number or color. Challenging doesn't cost you many cards: you draw two cards, but you immediately play one. Early in the game, everyone has a handful of cards, so the odds aren't necessarily in the challenger's favor, but the accusations start coming when players' hands start to empty.

The winner of the challenge receives the accumulation of spicy cards. The loser draws cards and starts a new pile. If a player runs out of cards, he may take one of the three trophy cards. The game ends when a player has two trophy cards, in which case that player wins. Each trophy card is worth 10 points, each captured spicy card is 1 point, and cards still in a player's hand are worth one minus point.

Spicy contains six game variant cards, but high replayability is guaranteed even without these variants.
