What is there to do during the DSV Games Weekend and at the Eigen Wijze holiday park?

Games room

Friday: 3:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Saturday: 10am – 10pm

Sunday: 10am - 9pm

Only for guests of the DSV Games Weekend!

In the Eigen Wijze holiday park there is a very nice communal area that we rented for the games weekend. Only guests of the DSV Games Weekend are allowed in this room.

In the games room you will find at least 200 games (but we take as many as possible) and of course there are chairs and tables where you can play the games.

We also occasionally play communal games. You can find more information about this in the program.

Smoking and alcohol are not permitted in the games room. Pets are not allowed in the games room.

Holiday Park Eigen Wijze

Holiday park Eigen Wijze is actually classified as a village. All houses are cozy together, around a lake or in a street. That looks very cozy, especially when the lights come on in the evening.

There are some small activities at the park itself, but of course it all revolves around the games room. There is a wooden pirate ship (but has probably been replaced by another playground by then), there are go-karts and there is an indoor arcade for the children.

We naturally dream of snow and ice, so that the lake is frozen and we can skate, but perhaps that is asking too much of Mother Nature.

Holiday park Eigen Wijze is perfectly located for nature lovers. The adjacent Kuinderbos, for example, is 1,200 hectares in size. There are also a lot of outings to plan in the area, because the park is located on the border of Flevoland, Friesland and Overijssel. You can find more about this on the 'nearby' page.

Food and drink

Bring your own food
To start with, you can of course cook yourself in your house. That provides a lot of freedom and it is budget-friendly.

Coffee and tea in the games room
You are allowed to eat and drink in the games room, but we ask that you leave the area tidy and eat large meals in your home. For a small contribution you can have coffee and tea, so you don't have to go to your house for it. Alcohol is not permitted in the games room.

Restaurants
Do not feel like cooking? There are also restaurants nearby. Holiday park Eigen Wijze has a list of restaurants that they recommend.

A restaurant is currently being built in the Eigen Wijze park. If all goes well, this restaurant will be in use during the DSV Games Weekend in January 2025.
