Destinies is a competitive game of adventure and exploration, combining an app and a board game. Each of the 5 unique scenarios shows part of a vibrant world, full of dark stories, epic characters and mysteries to solve. Each player takes on the role of a hero. During the game, players will discover new parts of the world presented on tiles, explore them and visit places of interest. There they learn more about the story and make choices about how they want to deal with everything they encounter. The consequences of each choice are important and often change the state of the world forever. Destinies comes with 30 miniatures. It also features a huge 90 millimeter high Abbadon miniature. Players can also enjoy Destinies solo, in the relaxing "Explorer Mode" or in the "Challenger Mode" which adds special events and time constraints to the game! Destinies is a perfect game for adventure-seeking players looking for a narrative-driven and engaging tabletop experience. The Games Friends: Destinies is a truly unique board game. It combines the mechanics of Chronicles of Crime with the expansiveness of a sandbox game. And then it is also not cooperative! We are fans! Sometimes we had the feeling of wandering around the world a bit and we found it difficult to think of what each character should do next in their mission, but that does not alter the fact that this is simply a very good game . Highly recommended!

Take a garden trowel, grow pea plants and become a master geneticist! Gregor Mendel was a 19th-century Augustinian who is called the father of modern genetics. In Genotype you are one of his assistants and you battle to collect experimental data on pea plants. You do this by determining how the plants inherit their most important characteristics: seed shape, color of the flowers, color of the stem and height of the plant. The observable properties of a pea plant (the phenotype) are determined by its genetic composition (the genotype). The relationship between genotype and phenotype and the nature of genetic inheritance are at the heart of Genotype: A Game of Mendelian Genetics. During the game you are given pea plant cards showing a series of phenotype traits that you try to produce and collect (such as pink flowers and a tall plant) to score points. Each round the dice are rolled to determine which plants are grown. This can create the properties you are looking for. Then each player takes turns choosing a number of dice to complete their pea plant cards or further their research. The traits produced during dice rolling are essentially based on Punnet squares, with the parent plants passing on one gene at a time. By changing the genes of these parent plants, players can increase the chance of rolling the desired traits. Rolling dice to complete pea plant cards is the main way to score points in this game.

On the other hand, if you ever have two of the same action available on your turn, you can choose to double down. This means that you can flip two chips in one turn and double the amount of work. As you play, you acquire loans for famous objects, such as 'the Roman soldier's dice tower' or 'the Neanderthal skull', from other museums. And K2 has never been climbed in winter. Now your team stands in the shadows, ready to rise to fame and glory. You know the dangers of K2 all too well. Extreme weather with frequent and deadly storms, exposed, steep, difficult routes and lack of oxygen await you on your way to the top. You test your climbing skills to death, trying to outsmart the ever-changing weather and always worrying about the acclimatization of your 2 mountain climbers. There are also the other teams ready to take the honors for themselves. K2 is a board game in which each player controls a team of 2 mountain climbers, trying to climb to the top of K2 and return before the other players' teams and before the mountain kills them. Each player uses an identical deck of cards. You use the cards to move your climbers on the route depicted on the game board or to acclimatize the members of your team. You can also pitch a tent and wait for better weather. You will have to choose your path carefully as the other mountaineers may block your way, and you will have to watch carefully for the upcoming weather which can reduce your acclimatization to 0, killing your climbers. K2 is a hand management game for 1-5 players, with strong interaction and a low luck factor, that can last up to 60 minutes. The theme is very well represented by the mechanics, including elements such as changing weather, lack of oxygen and the death of the mountain climbers. The result is an exciting match for gamers and non-gamers alike. The box includes a double-sided board with two different routes to the top (easier and harder) and two sets of weather tiles (for summer and winter). The Games Friends: " K2 is simple in terms of rules, but certainly not in terms of tactical choices. It often happens that one of our mountain climbers does not survive, also because the weather at the top can be quite bad. Yet this is simply a wonderful game for once in a while! ”

In Race for the Galaxy, players build galactic civilizations with game cards that represent worlds or technical and social developments. Each round consists of one or more of five possible phases. In each round, each player secretly and simultaneously chooses one of seven different action cards and then reveals it. Only the selected phases occur. For these phases, each player performs the action of the phase, while the selected player(s) also receive a bonus for that phase. For example, if at least one player chooses the Develop action, the Development phase occurs; otherwise it will be skipped. Each player may simultaneously choose a development from his hand of cards to build. After revealing the cards, each player adds his development to his deck of cards on the table and then discards cards from his hand equal to their cost. Each player who chose Develop discards one less card as a bonus. Explore allows a player to draw cards and select which ones to add to their hand. Settle allows a player to place a world in their tableau. Some worlds produce goods, represented by face-down cards, when Produce is selected. These goods can be discarded for victory points or sold to add cards to the player's hand by selecting Consume. Cards allow players to settle new worlds and build more developments, gaining both victory points and card powers that provide advantages in certain stages. The player who best manages their cards, phase and bonus selections, and card powers to build the largest space empire wins. The winner is the player with the most victory points... The Games Friends: " A modern classic that doesn't rely on its looks. But we like to look past that, because the mechanisms are very cool. Tiny Epic Pirates is a 45 minute game for 1-4 players, full of adventure on the high seas, using a variable rondel action system and action combinations! In Tiny Epic Pirates you pilot a pirate ship with the aim of burying vast amounts of wealth in secret hideouts on the island. Each turn you move your captain token around your ship's action wheel (rondel) and select which action you want to take... Loot, Trade, Crew, Attack or Search. Each player has a random and unique arrangement of these actions on their rondel. Sail your pirate ship is something that every player can do every time they take an action. Looting allows you to acquire loot from settlements at a very reasonable price. It's amazing how negotiating changes when your blunderbuss is ready. A box of gunpowder for a promise of no harm? Fair exchange. By trading you can sell your ill-gotten goods for gold on the black market. Each market is only interested in a specific good, so make sure you're heading in the right direction. Timing is everything, you sell a good at the wrong time and it is worth a pittance. Crew Up adds a new crew member to your growing pirate ship. Crew increases your ship's combat advantage and unlocks new abilities for each spoke of your ship's action wheel, making that action more powerful every time you take it! By attacking merchant ships and other pirates you increase your reputation. It also happens to be a great way to score some gold and more loot to sell. Be a threat and you might become a Legend of the Sea! Search the high seas for treasures left behind by the unfortunate souls who came before you. Salvage old ship parts for temporary relief or get lucky and find something worth selling. The end of the game is triggered once a player has buried three treasures. To do this, a player must first acquire the amount of gold necessary to bury in the various cemeteries on the map. After all players have had the same number of turns, the player who has buried three treasures wins. The Games Friends: " Tiny Epic Pirates is a strongly thematic game, with a smooth game flow.
