Divinus - Board Game (ENG)

Description

Divinus is a competitive, legacy, tile-laying, game where you play as a demigod trying to win the favor of the gods and ascend to a new pantheon. Players embark on twelve scenarios in which they explore lands, complete quests, communicate with gods, and influence the outcome of the epic conflict between the Greek and Norse pantheons.

At the start of each scenario, players open a sealed box containing new quests, parts, stickers, gods, game mechanics and more. The Divinus app provides a story for players and sets the stakes for what's to come. Each turn, players spend dice from their pool to explore new tiles from the world board. They must place the tiles in their demigod card, adjacent to each other and with matching properties, while working on general quest and god goals.

Throughout the campaign, players make lasting changes to their demigods by collecting powerful artifacts, forging their dice by changing sides, and earning titles for the achievements they achieve. Players also permanently change the game world by customizing tiles and placing new locations, heroes and monsters on the tiles. As players complete quests or other important goals, they can make crucial decisions through the Divinus app.

Players will determine the outcome of dilemmas such as choosing which side will prevail in battle, building or destroying a sacred site, and deciding whether a god lives or dies. Whatever outcome the player chooses, the game components may change and the Divinus app will remember the decision and present contextual options in the future that are affected by the choice. For example, returning to a fortress you helped the Norse gods build may earn you praise, while demigods favored by the Greek pantheon are shunned.

The Divinus campaign is preferably played over several play sessions because of the persistent and changing world. The rulebook grows with each scenario as new rules and content are unlocked. After the campaign is completed, players can replay their unique copy of Divinus with the "Infinite Replayability" mode.
