Description

Frederick II, Holy Roman Emperor, King of Germany, King of Italy, was a man of extraordinary stature, energy, and qualities. His contemporaries called him stupor mundi ("the wonder of the world"), and many historians consider him Europe's first modern ruler. Frederick's kingdom was centered on Sicily and southern Italy, organized as an effective bureaucracy similar to modern centralized governments.

As a vassal of Frederick II, you will perform tasks such as summoning allies from the Mediterranean, constructing buildings in your castle, and training specialists to improve your kingdom. Certain actions will trigger decrees that affect Frederick's Palace, and determine the rewards players can receive from their allies.

There are benefits to be gained by improving your castle: towers provide space for additional allies, walls provide additional resources , and castles help manage action cards.
