Description

In the Dutch board game Sheriff of Nottingham, the most successful traders in Nottingham offer the most exclusive goods, but the ever-vigilant Sheriff guards the checkpoint against this kind of 'contraband'. Traders smuggle and the Sheriff inspects, but who is allowed to pass and who gets caught?

Players are cunning traders who must enter the city through bluffing and bribes. Each round a new player plays the Sheriff who searches for contraband and must pay fines for inspecting honest traders, while traders caught smuggling must pay a fine. Will the sheriff believe you when declaring goods or will he want to inspect your bag? Or is it better to pay a bribe to be allowed to pass? At the end of the game, the trader with the most wealth wins!

This 2nd edition features rules for six players, Deputies and the Black Market for a high-risk, high-reward game!
