Santo Domingo, the oldest city built by Europeans in the New World, was one of the most important trading posts in the Caribbean in the 16th century. Valuable goods are exchanged and sold in Santo Domingo. Only those who have the right people and ships available at the right time can survive in this risky but profitable trade. Grab your chance at success!

In Santo Domingo you try to use your 8 action cards wisely. You do this by secretly choosing 1 or 2 cards from your hand. All cards are then turned face up simultaneously. The actions of the cards are performed in ascending number order. It is very important to estimate which cards your opponents will play. You can earn points or goods with the cards played.

The Merchant gives you the opportunity to exchange your goods for victory points. The Beggar (action card 8) gives you the opportunity to take the cards you played back into your hand. The game ends when at least 1 player has 30 or more victory points at the end of a round. The one with the most victory points wins the game.
