Description

Jinja is a colorful worker placement game about shrine construction in Japan. You must place workers in key locations around Japan to activate one of thirteen different actions or build in one of seven different areas. To earn top honors, you'll need to plan your strategy wisely and have a bit of luck.

Jinja features beautiful artwork and high-quality components, with plastic miniatures representing the shrines, painted meeples, screen-printed score trackers, and a custom multi-colored die.

The game board is an illustrated map of Japan, divided into areas with a limited number of temple locations. Over five seasons, players place workers in one of thirteen actions or seven areas as they work toward their various goals. Building a shrine deserves honor and special skills

Jinja has high replayability due to variable goals and events. Omikuji, or "fortune," are secret objectives that allow you to earn bonus points if your shrines are in key locations. Kitsune cards are randomly chosen for each game and offer various discounts, bonuses and abilities that change with the seasons.
