Gloomhaven: Jaws of the Lion is a standalone game set before the events of Gloomhaven. In the game you will find four new characters, namely the Valrath Red Guard, the Inox Hatchet, the Human Voidwarden and the Quatryl Demolitionist. All new characters can also be used in the original Gloomhaven game.

In the game you will find 16 different monsters and a campaign of 25 scenarios, in which the heroes must investigate a number of mysterious disappearances in the city. Is it Vermlings' work or is there something else going on?

In Gloomhaven: Jaws of the Lion the gameplay has been simplified somewhat, making it interesting for less hardcore gamers as well. For example, you no longer have to put together the board yourself with all the loose tiles, but all scenarios are conveniently packed in a scenario book. There are also five tutorial scenarios, making it very easy to learn how to play the game. All of this makes Gloomhaven: Jaws of the Lion the perfect introduction to the world of Gloomhaven!

The story is super fun to follow, it plays smoothly, setting up is much faster than with Gloomhaven and because you nothing ruins it, you can keep playing it.
