Life has been good to you. 10 years ago you still worked in your own fields with a simple straw hat on your head. Today your kingdom stretches from sea to sea and your straw hat is the largest the world has ever seen. You also own the smallest dog in the world and a life-size statue of yourself made of baklava.

Of course, money cannot buy happiness, but it can buy jealousy, anger and also a kind of empty feeling. You still have problems – disruptive neighbors that need to be defeated. But this time you do it in style.

This expansion to Dominion contains 25 new kingdom cards and 2 new standard cards, allowing players to build beyond Gold and Provinces. The central theme is wealth; there are money cards with action capabilities, cards that interact with money cards, and expensive, powerful cards.

Dominion Welvaart makes it possible to do more with your money cards. Therefore, you now play them in an order of your choice, performing any actions before playing the next card. Since there is a lot more money in the game than usual, you can buy standard cards like Platinum (which is worth 5 coins) and Colony (which is worth 10 victory points). There are also cards that provide extra victory points in the form of tokens. With this expansion, the options become even greater than they already were!
