Daxu - Board game

Description

Being a shopkeeper in a small village is a matter of finding the right balance. The goal is to never completely defeat the competition. In fact, that can be very bad for your reputation.

You will therefore have to find a way to grow your store without causing the other stores in the village to go bankrupt. Know when to collaborate and when to be ruthless...and you will be the best shopkeeper!

Daxu is a game where players collect sets of cards from the 6 different types of shops. Each round, different cards are revealed and players choose whether they want to keep cards for themselves or give them to their opponent.

If you focus too much on a certain type of store, your customers will become dissatisfied and your opponent will earn points instead of you. Contrary to what you are probably used to, you score points here based on how small your majority is.

At the end of the game, reputation and shop majority determine who is the best shopkeeper.

The Games Friends: "Daxu is a game that is cleverly put together. Fortunately, because it doesn't look too good and has a lot of competition from other games of the same difficulty. It is not something that comes to our table often, but it is a tip for anyone who is looking for a 2-player game with a lot of interaction."
