In addition to the “Best Friends” expansion, the box also contains 2 holiday and 2 regional scenarios “Iberian Peninsula” and “Rickshaw Run”.

How do you play CATAN?

The players settle on the newly discovered island of Catan. They start with 2 villages and 2 streets. The different terrain types surrounding their villages produce resources for everyone as a result of dice rolls. You need this to expand villages into cities or build new streets and villages. You get victory points for that. You can also buy development cards, which give you extra benefits. Because you do not always get the right resources, you may trade with the other players to achieve the desired combination. But beware of the highwayman. If you collect too many resources, they can easily take away half of them! Can you be the first to get 10 victory points?

In the 5 scenarios you experience exciting journeys, help Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny and get to know the generous sides of your fellow players. All scenarios can be played with up to 6 players and offer new opportunities to further explore CATAN. Try settling in Spain and Portugal or northern India with the regional scenarios “Iberian Peninsula” and “Rickshaw Run”. These 2 scenarios give the game a completely different dimension!
