When D. João V was king of Portugal, Portugal was a major European power. In that 17th century, the king sent Sargent Melo Palheta to French Guinea to secretly bring coffee seeds to Brazil. The Sargant succeeded and by 1800 Brazil was already one of the largest coffee producers in the world!

In the following years, coffee from Brazil became very popular in Portugal and many coffee shops appeared on the streets. As a result, Portugal also became an important coffee country and even one of the largest coffee industries in the world!

You already understood it, but coffee is central in this game. You will try to start the best possible coffee company, from planting to distribution. Will you become the new coffee king of Portugal?
