Description

Bios:Origins is the third part of the Bios trilogy. This game starts much earlier than most Civilization games: 200,000 years ago or even earlier. One to four players represent the then existing human subspecies: Sapiens, Neanderthals, Denisovans and Hobbits.

Take them on adventures to expand your brain, learn language, discover new worlds, tame strange beasts (like riding war kangaroos or mammoths), discover the wonders and horrors of religion, dive for pearls, exorcise the gods days, enslaving rival humanoids, and perhaps ushering in the Enlightenment.

Although wars of conquest and religious wars are possible, most fighting will be internal. You have only limited control over your ruling class, and if your priests are in charge and do a poor job, they will be murdered and taken over by merchants or warlords.

Win by specializing as a cultural, political or industrial civilization. This means, unlike most civilization games, that a cult figure on a mountaintop in New Zealand can defeat an emperor who has conquered the world with his armies.

The game integrates with Bios: Genesis and Bios: Megafauna.
