Azul - Board Game (NL)

Description

WINNER OF THE DUTCH FAMILY GAME PRIZE 2018!

Azuleojos (originally white and blue ceramic tiles) are an invention of the Moors. The decoration was appreciated by the Portuguese King Manuel I during his visit to the Alhambra, in the south of Spain.

He was so impressed by the fabulous beauty of the Moorish decorations in the interior of the Alhambra that he had his own Evora Palace in Portugal decorated with similar tiles.

In the tactical game Azul, it is up to the players to decorate the walls of the royal palace in Evora on behalf of the king. Form patterns, cover the walls of the palace, score the most points and win!

The Games Friends: “ Azul is a wonderful game for puzzling. The pieces and artwork are fantastic and the mechanics are simple and clear. Azul is a real winner in the family games category!"
