Ahau: Rulers of Yucatán is a board game that combines elements of worker placement and resource management with innovative dual-machine building - all set in the Classic Period of the Maya.

In the game, players take on the role of leaders of city-states who all want to climb the ladder of power to become the most famous ruler of this era. During their journey, they will have the opportunity to invoke the ancient Mayan gods, flourish manufacturing, build their pyramid temple and capital, and expand the borders of their territory.

Ahau pays tribute to the breathtaking Mayan culture and brings their history closer to the players. The cultural and historical aspects of the game have been carefully reviewed by Mayan expert David S. Anderson, professor of anthropology and archeology and lecturer at Radford University in Virginia, USA.

The solo mode was designed in collaboration with professional game designer David Digby.
