Stonemaier Games

A strategic development game by successful author Jamey Stegmaier. In Tapestry you weave the story of your own unique civilization. You start with nothing and progress along the 4 tracks of development (science, technology, exploration and military) to receive increasingly better rewards and benefits. You can focus on a specific track or take a balanced approach. Improve your income, build your capital, exploit your unique skills and draw carpet cards that tell the story of your civilization. Does your civilization reach the stars? The Games Friends: “ Tapestry is a fantastic board game, with many different possibilities. Yet you explained Tapestry this way because the actions are simple and clear. The artwork on the cards is beautiful and due to the large number of peoples you have many variation options. An absolute winner, which comes to our table very often!"

In this second expansion of Tapestry, you'll take your civilization to the next cultural level through a new development track: art! The “art” and “science” tracks together use a new 20-sided die. You can also obtain special inspiration tiles, which fit exactly on top of the fixed income tracks as an upgrade. In addition, Art and Architecture has new civilization tableaus, new carpet and technology cards, as well as new miniatures. Furthermore, this expansion comes with new rules for a number of civilization tables from the base game. The Games Friends: "In our opinion, Arts & Architecture is an excellent extension of the basic game. The extra track really adds something and there are enough new cards and peoples to significantly increase the variety."

It is the early 1800s, a time of immense construction and urbanization. You are a world-renowned urban planning master who has been asked to redesign two different cities. Projects of such significance require the expertise of more than one person, so for each assignment you will be paired with a partner with whom you can discuss and implement the grand plans. Will your planning and collaboration skills be enough to design the most impressive city in the world? Between Two Cities is a partnership-driven tile-drafting game in which each tile represents part of a city: factory, shop, park, landmarks, etc. You work with the player on your left to design the heart of a city, and with the player on the right to design the heart of another city. On each turn, you choose two tiles from your hand, reveal them, and then work with your partners individually to place one of those tiles in each of your two cities before passing around the remaining hand of tiles. At the end of the game, each city is scored on its livability. Your final score is the lowest score of the livability scores of the two cities you helped design. To win, you must share your attention and dedication between two cities. The player with the highest final score wins the game. The game offers a game for 3-7 players in 20-25 minutes, a 2-player variant for head-to-head competition and a solo variant (Automa).
