The house ghost has found an old camera in the cellar of the castle. In addition, he has put everything on record that he likes to make disappear while haunting... and also himself of course. Unfortunately, the enchanted camera takes many photos in the wrong color. Sometimes the green bottle is white, sometimes blue. When he looks at the photos, he becomes so confused that he no longer knows what to conjure up. Can you help him and name the right object or even make it disappear for him? A card is turned over each round. The players must now grab or call out the object they are looking for as quickly as possible. Whoever does this fastest gets the card. Who wins the most cards? Five objects are placed in a circle on the table, so that everyone has easy access to them. A player turns over the top card. Each player now tries as quickly as possible to grab the object from the table that is depicted in the correct color on this card. If there is no object depicted in the correct color on the card, players must grab the object that is not depicted on the card and whose color cannot be seen on the card. The first person to grab the correct object places the turned-up card in front of them on the table as a reward and then turns over the next card from the face-down pile. Whoever has the most cards at the end wins the game.

In this communicative card game, players trade with their beans and grow them in their fields. Who will steal the best beans from the other players and earn the most money? Each player receives 5 bean cards and must keep them in order in his hand. Furthermore, each player has two bean fields. He may grow one type of beans on each of them. On your turn, you must grow the first card and the second card from your hand. Then you reveal two new bean cards, which you can keep or trade. You may also trade cards from your hand. This can be useful, because a bean field is worth more if it contains more cards of a kind. And if you have to grow a species that is not available, you have to sell another. And that may come too soon... However, you can choose once per game to buy an extra bean field for three thalers. The game ends when the stack of bean cards has been played through three times. Whoever has the most money after that wins. Boonanza is a fascinating trading game from the author of Agricola and Le Havre and is highly recommended for fans of, for example, The Settlers of Catan.

The lama opens his bag of tricks. The following still applies: Discard All Negative Points, but now you can also collect negative points tokens during a round, which you can then conveniently pass on to other players. This is especially true at a magic performance, where you can hand in a token if you play a llama. However, if you no longer have a lama at the decisive moment, only the magic token can save you, otherwise you will receive minus point tokens! Play your special cards wisely, exchange as many low-value chips as possible for higher-value chips and then get rid of them during a magic performance. Everyone else then watches with open mouths as you get closer to success. Do you like simple games, but do you like to have a choice and do you like to annoy others? Then LAMA: Cadabra is the right game for you. The basic game rules are quickly explained, but a few interesting twists make this card game slightly more challenging than its predecessor LAMA. This game is also suitable for 2 to 6 players and is therefore ideal for the whole family. Each player tries to get rid of his cards as quickly as possible so as not to lose any negative points at the end of a round. On your turn, you must play a card, draw a card or get out. Some cards you play give an extra action. It could be a card with two values or a card that lets you take the magic token, but there are also cards that allow you to give away a minus point token or let the next player draw a card. Each time a player plays a llama, he places 1 of his negative point tokens on the magic stage. When there are 5 or more tokens on that stage, the magic performance starts. Each player's turn must then play a llama. If he cannot do that, he takes all the negative point tokens from the magic stage. If you have the magic token, you may skip a turn once during the game or magic performance. But be careful, if you still have the magic token at the end of a round, you will receive 10 negative points! A round is over when every player has left or one player runs out of cards. All players then receive minus points for their remaining cards. If someone then has a total of 40 or more negative points, the game is over and the player with the fewest negative points wins.

Manipulate the magic book and collect the most valuable dragons! Even dragons start small. Before they can fly and breathe fire, they must be properly cared for. As an experienced magician, that is exactly your job. To do this, you use the "magic book", which tells you which and how many dragons you can take under your wing. It goes without saying that you have some tricks up your sleeve to manipulate the book to your advantage. Whoever does this best wins this fantastic competition! Do you like short games, value beautiful artwork and don't like waiting for your turn? Then you place this deck of cards on the table. A turn is very simple and you can also do things during other players' turns, so you are constantly involved in the game. Because the cards are distributed differently each game, you can never follow fixed tactics and you have to be flexible. Due to its simplicity, Dragon Shepherds is suitable for families with children, but there is enough challenge to also interest more experienced players. In Dragon Herders you try to score points by placing dragons from your hand. On your turn you first draw 1, 2 or 3 cards from the supply. This offer is continuously supplemented with cards from the magical book. That is important, because after drawing cards, the backs of the 2 cards of the magic book determine how many and which cards you can lay down and what you get for them. It is your turn, before laying down cards you may change the magic book using one of your cards. After laying down and receiving your bonuses, all other players may also lay down cards based on the magic book, but they may not change the magic book. For putting down dragons you can mainly earn amulet parts, golden eggs and shields, which give points in different ways. The game ends when a certain number of amulets have been completed. If you then have the most points, you win and you are the best dragon herder!

The Quest for El Dorado: Dragons, Treasures & Mysteries is a new expansion consisting of three modules. The “Dragons” module introduces dragons. At the start of the game they sleep, but if a playing piece moves to the space with a dragon or an adjacent space, it must stop there and the dragon wakes up. From that moment on, players can move the dragon instead of their own playing piece. This is important, because you are not allowed to move a playing piece that is in the immediate vicinity of a dragon! The “Treasure” module introduces treasure tokens. You can pick it up if you stand next to it and play a metal detector or remove the requested cards from the game. If you have collected 4 treasure tokens, this counts as reaching El Dorado. You can also use a treasure token to move to an adjacent space twice in succession without having to meet the conditions on those spaces. The “Mysteries” module introduces mysterious valley tiles. These are placed face down on the playing field at the start of the game, but are turned over as soon as a player ends up with his playing piece on an adjacent field. From that moment on, players may enter the valley tile in the usual way. The valley tiles can also be used as normal terrain tiles, but then the surprise effect is gone. All three modules can be played individually or with other expansions. This provides plenty of variety for fans of The Search for El Dorado!

In this original battle game you try to collect as many goats as possible without exceeding the limit. You are dealt 8 cards at the start. Each player always plays 1 card, a trick, face up on the table. The player who played the card with the lowest value draws a hill card and places it on the table, choosing 1 of the 2 values on it. The player who played the card with the highest value wins the trick and starts the next one. This continues until all cards have been played. The hill is completed after 4 turns and determines the goat limit. Whoever has collected the most goats after 8 tricks and has not exceeded the goat limit wins the game. You can also choose to play multiple rounds and record the scores. Bokken Schieten is a card game that 999 Games successfully released 15 years ago, but is now self-publishing in a new guise. Bread and Beer is a strategic game for 2 players. By playing cards you harvest resources, improve your village and sell beer and bread. Each card can be used in three different ways. Slide the card above the game board for a harvest, under the game board for an expansion of the village or discard the card to sell beer and bread. The way you get cards depends on the round. During a strong year you pass cards back and forth, each time choosing a card to play. During a lean year you have to make do with the cards you are dealt, although you are allowed to exchange limited cards with the trading card field. Whoever has produced the most beer or bread after six rounds wins. But there is a small catch. What you produced the least amount of will determine your final score. So you lose if you have invested heavily in bread, while your beer production has remained very limited. As a strategic game for two players, Bread and Beer is a real challenge! The game is full of player interaction. Each round you have to make decisive choices that have direct consequences for the next round. Moreover, Bread and Beer is beautifully illustrated by Michael Menzel (The Legends of Andor, The Adventures of Robin Hood). Highly recommended for anyone looking for a big game in a small box!

You have big plans. Your city will be the most beautiful, largest and most magical city ever! But you are not the only one with ambitions. Intrigues run rampant and none of your opponents can really be trusted. That's why you bring in characters such as the King, the Murderess or the Merchant. Each turn, one of the characters will work for you and perform special actions. But who chooses which characters? And how do you outsmart everyone? In Machiavelli you have to build buildings by paying with coins. The more expensive the building, the more points it will earn at the end of the game. To help you, you can choose from different characters at the start of a round. For example, the King always lets you choose a character first, the Murderess eliminates other characters and the Merchant ensures that you get extra money. After each round, the characters are redistributed, so that another player can become King, for example. Machiavelli has been a popular game for years thanks to the strong interaction between players. Anyone who intelligently estimates who chooses which characters can manipulate the entire game. Although you only use eight characters per game, this edition contains no fewer than 27 different characters. So you can vary widely! NB: This new edition of Machiavelli is a new version of Machiavelli De luxe, with the same number of character cards and extras. The Games Friends: “ Machiavelli was one of the first card games we played and it still appears regularly on the table. Because the choice of characters is secret, it is exciting every round which characters participate. Highly recommended for players who like bluffing and deceit!"
